Thank you for prayers

Well my foot is doing well. The Dr. thinks that the ulcer should go away if I continue to use the steroid creme, and in two weeks when I go back, if this has happened he is going to prescribe a diabetic foot creme.

Find out more about my wrist tomorrow, it still hurts to do a lot of things, but the pain is something that I am getting used to.

social classifications

I love my sun porch. I can sit on the couch that we have out here, with my laptop and just people watch like I love to do.

I have heard a lot from different people the comment "Rochester's Finest". When they are saying this they are referring to the "undesirables" in Rochester. Yeah some of the people you wonder why they make the choices that they make to live in poverty, mooch off the system, etc. But I also know from experience growing up, my mom was on welfare and stayed at home until my brother and I were old enough to be by ourselves. The system was different then and there were a lot less single mom's. But why I am writing this is I think that people choose to only see the visible. They don't see the single mom who thought she was going to have a partner to help raise the kids, but he turned out to not want to live up to his responsibilities, so now she has to do what she can to be the bread winner, and care taker. A roll that was never meant to be done by one person. They don't see the Teenager who was able to walk away from a home life of physical, emotional, drug and alcohol abuse, who is supporting himself like a grown working adult and still going to high school so he can go to college, and have a better life for himself.

I guess I just wish that people weren't so judgemental, so not my problem and be willing to extend a hand to help, maybe not financially, but offer to take that single mom's kids to the park for an hour or two so she can have a couple of hours to her self to either take a nap, go grocery shopping with no kids, go to the doctors, etc. Offer to that young teenager some tutorial help, or be a mentor to help stay on the right track and not end up on the same path his parents are on.

I think we should all be stepping up in our communities to be the role models that these young kids need if they don't have them at home instead of celebrities. Especially when the current role models are teaching it is ok to cheat on your significant other, there are no consequences, its ok to spend all your money on designer clothes, purses, etc before you take care of your bills.

I get picked on because I refuse to watch Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movies. Yes he is an amazing actor, but I am not going to financially support someone that a child is going to look up to and think he is so cool. If they are going to look up to someone I want it to be someone like Michael J Fox, who I don't care if he doesn't take his meds to show people what his disease is like, he still is doing something positive with what God has given him. He is still faithfully married to the same woman that he married many years ago. Tom Hanks is another awesome example of someone that I think is a good example. But because they are actually good examples you don't see them in the news because thye have no scandals or skeletons in there closet. To bad the media thinks that what is news worthy is only the negative.

Sorry for rambling just felt a need to share.

Oh pleese keep praying for healing for my wrist, I find that somethings I can do with no pain and other things that you wouldn't think would hurt feel just like it did when I first broke it. The doctor did tell me that it is possible that it didn't heal.

Wrist

Well today I went to the Orthopedist, and had my cast removed. My wrist is sore and hurts if I bend it just right, but glad to be out of the cast. They were unable to take an x-ray today, so I go back in a week and will have the x-ray taken to see if it healed. He told me that he put the cast on just to give it a chance to heal, as the kind of break I had doesn't always heal. So prayers that it heals will be greatly appreciated. I didn't think to ask what will be the course of action if it doesn't heal, so I will find out on that as well next Tuesday.

On another note, I need prayer in the dealings with Jeremy's ex-wife. She says stupid things, and has financially burdened Jeremy with the duplex they own, by coming up with all kinds of excuses as to why she is unable to pay her half of the mortgage and joint house bills like water. I don't have patience for that, I ran from responsibilties and tried to blame Gabe for everything, but learned that I need to quit running and take care of them, and not all of the bills, etc were his fault. She has it good, her ex-husband pays the whole mortgage so she doesn't have to worry about paying "rent", and she is in good health and doesn't have the daily medical concerns that others have. I find myself becoming very immature and not Christ like when it comes to dealing with situations that come up.

Prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Claddagh Ring

The History:
Early 16th century legend tells that a fishing boat, from the village of Claddagh in Co. Galway, was captured by piratesand the crew taken as slaves. One man, Richard Joyce, was one of the crew, and he was to be married the same week he was captured. His bride-to-be was inconsolable.

Years went by and Richard became a master of his trade - goldsmithing. His skillful hands shaped a unique ring for the girl he could never forget at home.

The design was born from thier love. At the centre a heart, symbolizing their love, on top a crown, symbolizing their loyalty, and two hands holding the heart symbolizing the caring friendship they shared.

After eight years, he escaped and returned to his native village of Claddagh and found to his great joy, that sdhe never married.

He gave the ring to her and they married soon afterwards, never to be married again.

THE GALWAY FOLKLORE OF HOW TO WEAR THE CLADDAGH RING:
Worn on the right hand, crown turned inwards, your heart is yet unoccupied.

Worn on the right hand, crown turned outwards, shows a special commitment to someone.

Worn on the left hand, crown outwards let our love and friendship reign forever-never to be separated. (otherwise married)

Now I have posted this, as 3 weeks ago Jeremy asked if I would be willing to get matching rings. I told him yes, so we wondered down to the celtic store in Portsmouth and picked them out. We wear them on our right hand with the crown facing outwards!

Short Term Disability

Well yesterday I spoke with the HR rep at work, aftr I missed 2 days Tuesday because of my wrist, and yesterday because of an infection in my foot, she is putting me on short term disability. I am scared because I have a little less than 6 weeks to be back to full duties at work or I loose my job. Being a diabetic I heal slower. But on the positive side I won't be over doing it at work, and they don't have to look for things that I can do.

Sorry if this is a bit short, I just had to post somwthing about how I am doing.

Hello

To make things easy since my wrist is currently broken, I am going to start blogging so I don't have to send out a bunch of messages.

Since I moved back to Bremerton August 2004 from Pullman here are a few things that have happened:

*Went to Bryman to become a medical Assitant. ( didn't go anywhere with that)
*Got divorced in March 2006. Had to ask Gabe why he didn't file, and did the leg work for him.
*Met a wonderful guy in January 2008, started to actually date jeremy April 2008, due to the distance of our hometowns, moved to New Hampshire end of May 2008.

Am very happy,
Will write more later.
